The Group sTOa and the chair of Papyrology of Department of Historical Studies of the University of Turin are extremely interested in hosting AvH-Feodor Lynen Research Fellowships in Philosophical, Literary, and Documentary Papyrology. Proposals in the field of Herculaneum Papyrology and Hellenistic Philosophy are particularly welcome.

1. Prerequisites to apply
 
We are looking for young researchers who have sound philological, papyrological, and historical-philosophical skills that enable them to work on philosophical, literary, and documentary texts on papyrus. 
 
2. Facilities
 
Future AvH-Feodor Lynen Research Fellows will be able to count on a Department of Excellence (https://www.dipstudistorici.unito.it), which will provide them with ample work space, a well-stocked scientific library, and above all the opportunity to work within the sTOa research group of the Chair of Papyrology of the University of Turin, in cooperation with the Egyptian Museum (https://museoegizio.it/), and with the support of the ERC-CoG 101086695-APATHES (Assessing Philosophical Authors and Texts from Herculaneum and elsewhere on Early Stoicism: Insights into ancient logic, physics, and ethics towards a new von Arnim) (https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/101086695/it).

3. Material to be sent in the first step
 
We kindly invite anyone interested to provide us, in two separate pdf files, 

a. an updated CV (with a complete list of publications);

b. a draft proposal according to the following scheme: title, subject (no more than 1500 words), methodology (no more than 1500 words), bibliography.
